The Marvel Cinematic Universe already has a massive amount of content but don’t expect that to slow down anytime soon. According to a Marvel Studios producer, Marvel currently has 31 projects currently in the works. According to comicbook.com, Marvel Studios president Victoria Alonso was doing a speaking engagement at “El Caecito” where she discussed the current state of Marvel and what she wanted to accomplish as president. One interviewer asked the producer about the current slate of projects at Marvel Studio, suggesting there were 35 projects; however, Alonso quickly corrected the interviewer.

“We are currently working on 31 projects, don’t add 4 more, please,” Alonso said in the interview (via 221 Radio).

While this number seems daunting, it isn’t that outrageous considering how rapidly things are coming out from Marvel Studios on Disney+. Kevin Feige has also confirmed a number of upcoming projects that are coming to Disney+ and theaters. Many of these projects include Eternals, Spiderman: No Way Home, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Marvels, Secret Invasion, Armor Wars, Ironheart, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Some other projects that have been confirmed but don’t have a lot of information yet include Blade, Fantastic Four, and Captain America 4.

There are other unconfirmed projects that Marvel Studios is working on that must round out the number of 31. Alonso understands that Marvel is currently trying to balance a ton of projects and not every project is going to see the light of day.

“It is a question about how are we handling multiple plates in the air at the same time, and the biggest thing is that sometimes the plates fall, and, you know, what are you going to do then?” Alonso said. “We want people to understand that the idea that we have, to tell these connected stories, it is important that the world knows that the characters we create, their stories have to do with how humans interact with each other.”

Marvel fans should be thrilled to know that the MCU is not going away anytime soon. If anything, it is only going to get much bigger.
