With Singer’s credentials (plus their most recent position as a storyboard writer for DC’s Harley Quinn), speculation has emerged that they could be working on the next season of Marvel’s What If…?  However, Singer’s website confirmed that the upcoming Marvel project is a “new” series that still can’t be talked about at the moment. If anything, an assumption that the series will be animated could be correct.

The acclaimed Harley Quinn storyboard writer didn’t say specifically what property they would be working with, but they did express enthusiasm for the role. They went on to say, “I’m so excited to share that I’m starting a new journey today as a Director over at Marvel Studios! It’s going to be an awesome and special team and I’m feeling just incredibly excited.” Also, their website uploaded information on the new project. This update further squashed any speculations.
