The official website for the anime Masamune-kun’s Revenge announced that the anime will be getting a second season. This announcement came along with the latest update of the manga with the same name. The official website also streamed a promotional video that reveals the anime’s new logo and visuals.

This announcement also comes after an April Fool’s joke that the franchise played on fans. Instead of announcing a season 2, the anime announced an upcoming season 3 with a whole new cast of characters.

The first season of Masamune-kun’s Revenge first premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the entire series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed an English dub starring Josh Grelle and Morgan Garrett. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in North America and is in charge of distribution.
