The story below has been confirmed to be completely fabricated.   Bioware’s Mike Gamble says that it never happened, which led to some investigation by Penny Arcade Report’s Ben Kuchera and Kotaku’s Jason Schreier which tracked down the blogger who admitted to making the whole thing up in an attempt to earn the respect of his peers.

If you’re already anticipating the release of the fourth installment for Bioware’s Mass Effect franchise, it could be a lengthy wait, according to the developers Mass Effect 4 is tentatively scheduled for a late 2014 early 2015 release.

While Bioware confirmed the next Mass Effect game last month on the company blog, Mike Gamble gave GamerSyndrome a tentative date for the next game.  However, With “full development on the game started only a month or two ago,” Gamble couldn’t give an exact timetable on the game’s release.

Bioware has given no indications of which directions they are going to take the popular franchise in, but if this interview is anything to go by, the company is really excited about the possibilities for multiplayer in the Mass Effect Universe.

“Regardless on how people felt about the ending of Mass Effect 3, alot of people still play multiplayer,” said the developer.
