Mass Effect Legendary Edition, after many months of waiting, has finally arrived on all major platforms! Finally, players can jump into the role of Commander Shepard and work with their squadmates to find the truth about an age-old threat looming in the shadows. As you make your way through the first Mass Effect game, you’ll find yourself recruiting all sorts of squadmates from in and out of the Citadel. You might wonder how you can choose which squadmates to bring along, which is why we’re here to help! In this guide, I’ll tell you exactly how you can change your squad members in Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

How to Change Squad Members in Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Changing squad members is essentially the same across the entire trilogy, and is quite easy once you have a rough idea of the game’s systems. Once back on your ship, make your way to wherever you need to go for your next mission or side quest. Then, head onto the planet and you’ll be prompted to pick two squad members. These are the only ones you can have for the entirety of the mission, and you’ll be forced to restart if you wish to bring along a different crew. With that being said, be sure to choose wisely when forming your squad.

Before we go though, you’re likely wondering how to best form a solid squad. Each member of your team has a particular skill set and, of course, levels that you can put into their various talents. When forming a squad, you want to ensure that these skills are balanced out so you aren’t lacking in one particular area. You could of course bring your favorite squad made along though, and if their name isn’t Garrus we may not be allowed to be friends.
