Any good shooter offers you a wide variety of weapons to choose from, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition is no different. As you progress through each of the three games, you’ll find yourself scoring plenty of different weapons to use on your adventures. The usefulness of these is to a varying degree, but you can still find improvements on your adventures. The spectre weapons are an iconic set of weapons from the original title, allowing for some serious damage potential thanks to Shepard’s signature status. You may be confused this time around due to the fact that the Rich achievement doesn’t exist anymore, but that’s why we’re here to help. In this guide, we’ll tell you exactly how to get the spectre weapons in Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

How to Get the Spectre Weapons in Mass Effect Legendary Edition

For those unaware, the way this system worked in Mass Effect 1 is you would be able to buy spectre gear I-IX whenever you’d like, but Spectre Gear X required you to acquire the Rich achievement. This achievement had you possess one million credits in your bank account at any given time, and doing so would unlock the Master Gear for purchase. The new system though, while intended to work similarly, is currently a bit bugged.

To explain, currently, you should be able to buy the rest of the gear whenever from the Requisitions Officer in the C-Sec Academy. When you hit the one million credit mark though, the option to get the final piece of gear disappears completely. We’re unsure as to why this is happening, but a running theory is it has something to do with the Rich achievement triggering the gear set’s purchase. With the achievement gone though, this causes it to bug out and delist the gear completely. Thankfully, fans have found a workaround where if you load a save from just before Shepard becomes a spectre (may have to do some file digging for this one) and trigger the cutscene again, the shopkeeper should have everything in stock. We’re not sure of the success rate as this time though, so keep that in mind.
