Romancing squadmates and other characters is a main staple of the Mass Effect series, and things are no different in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. If you wish to romance a specific character on your team after getting to know them for a while, you can do just that! One such squadmate is Tali’Zorah nar Rayya, a young quarian you meet at the start of Mass Effect 1. If you were interested in her romance options throughout the trilogy, then you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, we explain how you can romance Tali throughout Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

How to Romance Tali in Mass Effect Legendary Edition

To get it out of the way now, you can’t romance Tali in Mass Effect 1. As Tali was quite young during the first game in the trilogy, mentioning she was completing her rite to adulthood, being able to romance her would’ve been a bit strange and thus, didn’t make a whole lot of sense. From Mass Effect 2 and onwards though, being able to romance her made a lot more sense and thus was added. You also will need to be a male Shepard, as Tali is only interested in heterosexual relationships with the protagonist.

If you meet both of these conditions, begin chatting with her in between each mission throughout Mass Effect 2 to earn her affection. As you do this, her dialogue options will increase over time, leading up to you having an eventual intimate scene with her and having her as your chosen partner. It may have been an entire game’s wait, but it hopefully was worthwhile.
