Mass Effect Legendary Edition offers plenty of moments where the player makes choices that severely impact the rest of the series. Whether it be something small like the death of an inconsequential character or the deaths of many characters, you’ll have to make tough calls if you want to have a perfect outcome. This is particularly true of Mass Effect 2, whether all of your choices will lead up to the Suicide Mission, the results of which deeply depend on how you choose to handle the rest of the game. How to Save Everyone in Mass Effect Legendary Edition

First, and most importantly of all, you’ll have to ensure all loyalty missions are complete (without failure of the objectives) and all critical ship upgrades are applied. If you miss one crucial step here, all can go awry. Alongside that, make sure that you do this before you initiate the Reaper IFF. If done after, you’ll risk losing more crew members by doing additional missions. In particular, the ship upgrades you’ll need are the Kinetic Barriers, Heavy Ship Armor, and Thanix Cannon which will save Tali, Jacob, and Garrus respectively. Otherwise, each loyalty mission saves that particular crew member.

Once this all has been met and you plan out your assault on the Collector Ship, you’ll need to choose particular crew members to bring along for specific sections. For specifics, you’ll need to bring any of the following crew members along:

Technical Specialist: Either Legion, Kasumi, or Tali

Fire Team Leader: Either Jacob, Miranda, or Garrus

Biotic Specialist: Either Samara or Jack

Fire Team Leader 2: Either Jacob, Miranda, or Garrus again

Escort Mission: Mordin

Defense Squad: You’ll need to have a defense rating of 2 or more to ensure everyone survives, with non-completed loyalty missions lowering their defense rating by one point. The best squad you can bring is Grunt, Zaeed, and Garrus.
