Mass Effect Legendary Edition has finally graced our hands, letting us return to the adventures of Commander Shepard as they work towards stopping a grave, eternity-long danger and its rampage on the people of the universe. As you begin your adventures into the first, second, or third games though, you may find yourself wanting to bring back the Commander Shepard you created back in the original games. If you’re having trouble doing this though, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how you can use face codes in Mass Effect Legendary Edition and play as the Shepard you once knew and loved.
How to Use Face Codes in Mass Effect Legendary Edition
First of all, make sure whichever original game you’re importing the code from is installed on your system. From there, getting the code from a particular game can be a bit confusing. For Mass Effect 2 and 3, you can find the code in the top left of your Squad Menu. You’ll simply just have to copy this code, and paste it into the Code spot when creating your character in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. For Mass Effect 1 though, you’ll likely find it easiest to import your save into Mass Effect 2 and grab the code from that game instead. If you for some reason have a copy of Mass Effect 1 and not the second game though, you’ll need third-party software to generate the code for you. We can’t vouch for the safety of this method though, so be careful when finding something online.
Once you’ve gotten the code though, do the same as previously and paste it in the code spot in the Legendary Edition. From there, you should have your original Commander Shepard intact!
