Mass Effect Legendary Edition has a lot of content, and I mean a LOT of content. Not only are you looking at three games worth of main and side missions to complete, but even a heap of DLC that’s sure to keep you occupied for hours upon hours. Given the amount of content, beyond the base game, you may be confused as to where to start within each game. No need to worry though as, in this guide, I’ll tell you the best order to play all DLC in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition in order to get the full experience.

The Best DLC Order for Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Mass Effect 1

This one is pretty easy to cover, as you have access to just the Bring Down the Sky DLC. You would normally have access to Pinnacle Station as well but, due to corrupted data, this DLC is unavailable in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Simply play through the three missions that come with Bring Down the Sky, and you’ll have gone through all bonus content on offer!

Mass Effect 2

This entry is where things get a bit more interesting. For starters, you’ll want to work through both Zaeed and Kasumi’s story DLCs, seeing as both of these DLCs give you two new companions to work with and level up. From there, you’ll want to work your way through the Overlord and Arrival DLC packs, as both are pretty solid and score you some nice upgrades for the Commander. After that, simply follow it up with the Firewalker Pack (Project Firewalker missions) and Normandy Crash Site DLCs and you’ll be done as far as story content. The rest of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition DLC is all either cosmetics or weapons you can buy, and thus can be done in whatever order you see fit.

Mass Effect 3

Moving to the final of the three games, you’ll want to start Mass Effect 3’s DLC ventures off with From Ashes, as the squadmate in Javik can be particularly useful. After that, you’ll want to move to the Leviathan DLC (starting with Citadel: Dr. Bryson), followed by Omega (beginning with Citadel: Aria T’Loak) and the Citadel DLC. Once done those, simply grab whatever you’d like from the cosmetic and weapon packs, and you’ll be done!
