Matt Dillion and Bernadette Peters are two of the latest cast members that will star in Patricia Arquette’s Apple series High Desert. Arquette will executive produce and star in the series. Rupert Friend (Homeland), Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You), Brad Garrett (Fargo), and Christine Taylor (Zoolander) have also joined the cast. The series follows the addict Peggy (played by Patricia Arquette), who decides to change her life and become a private investigator after the death of her mother Rosalyn (played by Peters). Dillion will play Peggy’s ex. Friend will play a local ex-anchorman named Bob. Opia will play Peggy’s closest friend, Carol. Garrett will be a private investigator and Peggy’s hesistant employer. Taylor will play Peggy’s snooty sister, Dianne. The other cast will not be executive producers with Patricia Arquette for Apple’s High Desert.

The series was originally green-lit in September 2020. The writers of Apple’s High Desert will be Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford, and Jennifer Hoppe. In addition, they will executive produce the series alongside Patricia Arquette, who also is starring in it. Jay Roach will direct the eight episodes of the series. Other executive producers via Red Hour Films will be Ben Stiller, Nicky Weinstock, and Jackie Cohn. Molly Madden and Tom Lassally will executive produce on behalf of 3 Arts Entertainment. Apple studios will produce Patricia Arquette’s series. On behalf of Delirious Media, John Cameron and Michelle Graham will co-executive produce. Apple’s Hight Desert will be the second Apple series that Ben Stiller and Patricia Arquette will work together. The other is the drama series Severance; Stiller will direct and executive produce it. Audiences look forward to Patricia Arquette’s executive production work and starring in High Desert.

She has won numerous awards for her work in Escape at Dannemora, The Act, Medium, Boyhood, and so much more. Patricia Arquette has won an Academy Award, Golden Globe Awards, and Primetime Emmy Awards. Her career spans four decades and she has become a Hollywood household name. Arquette was previously an executive producer for Equal Means Equal and Otherhood. So her executive producing role and starring role in Apple’s High Desert is nothing new to her. Arquette has achieved critical acclaim for her long filmography so critics already know that she has the skill to impress on the silver screen and television.
