How Does Wordle Work?
Wordle is a daily word-guessing game where you have six attempts to guess the word. Each word you put into the row will be judged based on your accuracy to the word the game is looking for. The more yellows and greens, the closer you are to unscrambling for the right answer!
Of course, some strong opening strategies are things like using all the vowels by your second guess. This will basically ensure at least one yellow letter. Most words in the English alphabet contain at least one vowel.
Another strategy people like to use in this game is to rule out a bunch of letters with the first three attempts. After many attempts, while playing previous Wordle sessions, this is only really effective if you are well-versed in the English language. If you use the words ZEBRA, QUITS, and MOLDY as your first three guesses, you essentially rule out all the vowels in the alphabet, along with the more unique letters like Q and Z.
Since you’re not necessarily building off the correct letters you already guessed, you do run the risk of letter placement problems if you don’t land at least a green or two by your fourth guess. Of course, this is more of a lazy starter for people who are walking dictionaries.
