As part of its continuing PlayStation Underground video series, Sony has released a new gameplay segment for its upcoming remake of MediEvil, which launches later this month. But rather than just showing off what’s to come in the new game, it’s decided to draw a few comparisons to the original game, which first came out for the original PlayStation in 1998.
Producer Nick Accordino joins the team by taking a look between the new experience and the old-school PS1 adventure, which is pretty much like night and day. The graphics from the classic PS1 game still look pretty good, if a bit light on the texture side. However, the 2019 version features more sharp details, particularly with the frame rate and the lighting effects.

The game is available for pre-order now on the PlayStation Store, going for $29.99. Those that pre-order will also get access to an exclusive Avatar set.
MediEvil releases on Oct. 25 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
