After Camille Lamb’s firing and subsequent exit from Below Deck season 10, producers have brought in a new cast Tyler Walker to replace her. Fans of Below Deck were not wholly surprised when Captain Sandy Yawn fired problematic stew Camille Lamb during last week’s episode of the popular Bravo reality TV series. Interim Captain Sandy Yawn caught Camille drinking on the job, and she also spent the night partying ahead of a busy day for the St. David crewmates. In addition, Camille’s constant feuding with fellow crewmate Alissa Humber had placed her long-term future on Below Deck in jeopardy.

Before Captain Sandy fired Camille from the show, the deckhand was already walking on thin ice after she had a blow-out fight with Alissa in front of guests. Although the two received a stern warning from Captain Sandy, who had to pull them apart — Camille still failed to get the memo, and her subsequent behavior ultimately cost her the spot on the series. After Camille’s sacking, viewers saw Captain Sandy immediately get on the phone trying to track a replacement deck/stew. Later in the episode, she saw her printing a resume, which reports have revealed belongs to her replacement, Tyler Walker.

Also, in the preview clip for this week’s episode, fans got the confirmation they were looking for as Captain Sandy informed Fraser and Ross she had hired Tyler as the new stew. The preview clip ended as Tyler approached St David on a speedboat. However, here’s everything you need to know about the new stew.

Tyler Walker’s Age and Hometown

Although there isn’t much information about the background of 24-year-old Below Deck stew Tyler Walker who hails from the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, Tyler’s Facebook account shows that he has always had a passion for the yachting industry. Shortly after his high school education, Tyler moved to Antibes, France, to pursue a career in the yachting industry. He was only 18 at the time. It is hard to tell the duration of his stay in France, but from all indications, it did not exceed a year. To boost his career chances, Tyler enrolled in the South African Butler Academy in 2018.

Tyler Walker’s Career

The new stew has invaluable experience in yachting, and it is no wonder Captain Sandy spoke so glowingly about him in the preview clip. Since he left SABA, he has remained in yachting and traveled to many locations — such as the Bahamas, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States. According to his resume that Captain Sandy printed out, Tyler has experience as a third stew, second stew, and head of housekeeping. His last job was as a third stew and head of housekeeping aboard the 213-foot M/Y Eternity.

Tyler Walker’s Instagram

Tyler Walker’s Instagram page is a boatload of fun and also functions as a walk-in museum where he documents all his adventures and globetrotting. He has over 900 followers, but that number has increased slightly in the last few days since fans knew he would later join Below Deck season 10. At last check, most of his new crewmates on St. David are already following his Instagram account.

From his Instagram account, it is evident that Tyler loves nature, the woods, and camping. In one of his pictures, Tyler sat by a campfire with friends roasting marshmallows. Also, Tyler is quite an adventurous person who loves surfing and the sea generally. Fans of Below Deck season 10 and the remaining stars will hope Tyler can bring the qualities Camille lacked alongside his vast yachting experience to the show.
