Time Studios and Roc Nation are teaming together to create a docuseries based on Megan Thee Stallion. The series will follow her upbringing and her road to begin a Grammy-winning musician, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. While there is no attached platform, Nneka Onnuorah will direct the series.

In regards to the project, TIME Studio co-head of documentary Lorennn Hammonds said,

A press release about the upcoming documentary project said that it will mix archived footage with Megan’s career highlights. It will start from her becoming a viral freestyler to a pop culture sensation worldwide. There will also be an emphasis on showing how she overcame personal hurdles in her life.

Megan Thee Stallion: A Docuseries for All

While Megan is no stranger to overcoming tough times, this documentary series will also give viewers an insight into her life. Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez then went on to say, “Megan has quickly blossomed into one of the pre-eminent entertainers in the world. It’s a testament to her perseverance, resilience, and professionalism. Our hope is that this documentary will inspire viewers to stay the course and pursue their passions through the ups and downs.”

Megan Thee Stallion was previously named one of TIME’s 100 influential people in the world. She also graduated from Texas Southern University, a historically Black college in Houston, Texas. In addition to attending school full time as an artist, she signed a first-look deal with Netflix and has won three Grammy awards. This year, she has been nominated for two Grammys.

As of now, there is no release date for the Megan Thee Stallion docuseries. There is also not a production timeline available.
