Melissa McCarthy will co-host the upcoming Discovery+ series The Great Giveback. Discovery+ has ordered six episodes for the limited series. Melissa McCarthy will co-host with Jenna Perusich, who she previously worked with for Celebrity IOU on HGTV. The Great Giveback will have a mix of the co-hosts’ love of helping others, home renovation, and design. They and their skilled team will do custom renovations for a select few that were nominated by their loved ones. The limited series will be produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment Drew and Jonathan Scott and McCarthy will be executive producers. Co-host is yet another achievement for the acclaimed dramatic and comedic actress.

She achieved global stardom with her role in Bridesmaids, which also earned her an Academy Award nomination. McCarthy has even hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The star snagged another Academy Award nomination as Lee Israel in Can You Forgive Me?. The Discovery+ series is Melissa McCarthy’s new frontier as co-host. Now she’ll be the home renovation angel to a lucky few in the series The Great Giveback. Her appearance on Celebrity IOU wasn’t enough for her, she wanted more. McCarthy has kept busy with the production company On the Day Productions, which she owns with her husband. She most recently co-produced in starred in Netflix’s Thunder Force and Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers.
