Metalhead gamers get ready, as Metal Tales: Overkill is coming. The game that mixes action-adventure with metal music got funded in under eight hours through their Kickstarter campaign. This roguelike guitar-shooter is set to launch on PC in early 2021. The crowdfunding will help it strum it’s way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox editions.
Rock out and play through the game using four different playable characters. Are you more Metallica, Iron Maiden, or Black Sabbath? You will have 50+ items that will include your guitars, strings, pedals, amps, books, and summons. These items will help you headbang your way through 15 different enemies with eight Guitar bosses.
There are three environments available for you to explore: Metal Den, Metal Festival, and Hell. With six procedurally generated levels, no two games will be the same. Local co-op is also accessible for you to share the adrenaline and high energy. Metal Tales Overkill also has a mission system to unlock abilities and upgrade stats between runs.
