Do you take them out…or TAKE THEM OUT?

Metro Exodus might seem linear, but there are subtle choices placed in front of the player the whole time they play. One of the more important choices is how the player will handle enemies who have surrendered to them. Yes, unlike most other shooters, if you are effective enough, you can convince your enemies to just give up. But what do you do then? Here’s what to do when enemies surrender in Metro Exodus.

The answer will depend on the player, but you really only have two choices whenever enemies start to surrender to you. They’re not really playing a trick or anything, though I’d always keep an eye on them anyway. So when you see enemies put their hands in the air and say they give up, you should deal with them quickly. Walk up to them and you’ll be prompted with the same choices as if you had snuck up behind them. Specifically to either kill them or knock them out.

If you want the good ending, you probably want to knock them out. Or you can go renegade and just stab them in the face. It’s really up to you, but they are surrendering soooo….yeah. I’d say you want to just tap them on the head until they fall asleep for a few hours. Sure, that’d kill them in real life, but this is a video game.

There’s not much else in regards to what to do when enemies surrender. There felt like there would be more to it than just taking them out in an easier fashion, but we’ll have to see how it all factors into the deeper mechanics of the game, if they’re there.
