CBS is in for an onslaught of drama from the LGBTQ community as the network failed to air Big Brother Head of Household Michael Bruner’s fiance’s love letter on the show. This miss denied the show a chance to highlight the LGBTQ community and the HOH’s fiance Hayden Middleton thinks it disappointing.

He has since expressed how upset he was at the show for not acknowledging his relationship with Michael in a world that cast negativity on gay couples.

Michael Bruner’s Fiance Upset Over CBS Snub

Speaking to TMZ, Michael Bruner’s fiance admitted to being upset that the show did not feature the reading of his letter. According to him, airing the note for the world to hear would have been an opportunity to showcase a successful monogamous, committed relationship between a gay couple not fazed by the flawed narrative plaguing the LGBTQ community.

His declaration followed Michael’s nomination this week as the Head of Household on the CBS reality show. The mantle earned him a chance to get a letter from a loved one and read it out on the televised show. However, unlike the two previous HOHs, who had the videos of them reading the love notes to other houseguests aired, the network decided to discontinue that pattern.

While this seems like an intentional snub against the LGBTQ community, Hayden believes the network did so without malicious intents. Notwithstanding he remains disappointed with the turn of events.

Hayden Called Out CBS On Twitter

Earlier, Michael Bruner’s fiance addressed the Big Brother snub on social media, saying he found it surprising that CBS failed to include the letter in the next episode. In his tweet, he implied that every other HOH this season had their letters featured on TV.

Wow, very surprised by @CBSBigBrother not including my letter to Michael when every single other letter this season has been included… ? For Michael, I wish they had put it in the episode tonight ? #bb24 @CBS https://t.co/PMbc3mSUYn

This assertion enraged fans, who immediately connected the dots and concluded the show did so in an effort to blindside a gay couple. However, many have pointed out that the network and Big Brother had no ill motive for cutting out the video.

Contrary to Hayden’s opinion, not all the Heads of Household in the ongoing season had their letters featured. TMZ reports that only two HOH has made the cut this season, further proving CBS edited out the video for reasons other than Michael’s sexuality. Meanwhile, viewers watching the Big Brother 24 live feeds got to watch the sweet moment Micheal read out the love note from his fiance, taking the initiative to share it on social media.
