Just as there has been buzz about the upcoming buzz about Robert Pattison’s The Batman movie, Michael Keaton has shared photos of his return as Batman. Michael Keaton will make his return as Bruce Wayne for the upcoming HBO Max Batgirl and The Flash movies. Keaton has teased fans on Instagram with his return as the caped crusader. “When it came around again, first of all, I was getting curious about it. I thought, ‘Boy, what would that be like?’ And then, coincidentally, there were murmurs, and I got a call from Warner Bros. They wanted to talk to me about something and there were hints of Batman,” Keaton said of his Bruce Wayne reprisal on The Jesse Cagle Show last year. Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi will direct the HBO Max Batgirl movie. Christina Hodson wrote the script for Batgirl and The Flash.

When Michael Keaton reprises his role as Batman in the HBO Max Batgirl movie. He will join fellow cast members: Brendan Fraser, Ivory Aquino, Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai. Of course, Keaton played Batman in the 1989 Batman movie and its 1992 sequel Batman Returns. It’s unclear how extensive his role will be in The Flash and the HBO Max Batgirl movie. Right now fans are just ecstatic that Keaton is back as Bruce Wayne at all. The 1989 Batman had Jack Nicholson as The Joker, Pat Hingle as Commissioner Gordon, and Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent. What a throwback! Who could forget Danny DeVito’s portrayal of The Penguin and Michelle Pfieffer as Catwoman in Batman Returns? Now J.K. Simmons will be Commissioner Gordon and it’s a whole new generation bringing life to the DC universe. The return of Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne is an added bonus.
Leslie Grace will play Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, and Ezra Miller will reprise his role as Barry Allen/Flash. The Batgirl movie will be released later on HBO Max exclusively. The Flash will be released later this year in theaters.
