If you thought DC’s recent movies were already difficult to keep track of, they could get even more complicated.

According to The Wrap, Michael Keaton is in talks to join Andrés Muschietti’s The Flash movie. It was said that these conversations are still in their early stages. So nothing is set in stone as of yet. However, if Keaton does end up joining the film’s production, he will once again reprise his role as Batman from the Tim Burton-led films. Based on this, it’s pretty safe to assume that The Flash movie is going to tackle DC’s multiverse in some capacity along with its rumored Flashpoint storyline.

THR added on to this report, stating that if a deal were to happen:

What About Robert Pattinson’s Batman?

If you’re a fan of Robert Pattinson or if you are just excited to see Matt Reeves’ The Batman, don’t worry. That project is still happening and it won’t be affected by Keaton’s potential casting. THR said that The Batman is being kept separate from the DCEU and all other DC projects. Insider Daniel Richtman confirmed this on Twitter as well:

Pattinson’s trilogy will be it’s own standalone thing like Joker, not part of the DCEU.
