Michael Shannon will direct the film adaptation of Brett Neveu’s play Eric Larue. The film adaptation of Eric Larue is the first time Michael Shannon will direct a film after a three-decade-long career. Brett Neveu’s play is about a mother of a 17-year-old boy who shot and killed three of his classmates. It revolves around dealing with trauma in the face of tragedy. Judy Greer, Paul Sparks, Alison Pill, Tracy Letts, Annie Parisse, Kate Arrington, and Alexander Skarsgard will star in it. The film adaptation of Brett Neveu’s play is already in production. Sarah Green from Brace Cove Productions and Karl Hartman from Big Indie Pictures are producing Eric Larue. Jina Panebianco from CaliWood Pictures will also produce it. Jeff Nichols, R. Wesley Sierk III, Byron Wetzel, Meghan Schumacher, Declan Baldwin, and John D. Straley are executive producers. Michael Shannon will add ‘director’ to his list of talents.

The Cast is Set for Michael Shannon’s Project

Judy Greer played in 13 Going on Thirty, her voiceover work in Archer, and the series Arrested Development. Alexander Skarsgard got his big break by playing Eric Northman and most recently played the lead in the film The Northman.  Tracy Letts is a well-known playwriter, screenwriter, and actor. Alison Pill has had roles in The Newsroom and Star Trek: Picard. They will all be on camera for the film adaptation of Brett Neveu’s play Eric Larue, which Michael Shannon will direct. The film adaptation of Brett Neveu’s play is a drama the cast has experience in. Michael Shannon has had plenty of practice starring in dramas but has decided to direct the drama, Eric Larue. Critics will get to see Shannon’s take on the story and judge whether or not his directing skills match up with his acting skills.
