Microsoft’s Your Phone is getting some significant updates in the recent days that may make you finally consider using the app on a daily basis. The app recently gained the ability to sync phone notifications and is working on a feature that allows you to make phone calls straight from your Windows PC. The Redmond giant is now adding a battery indicator so that you will be able to know when to charge your smartphone.

#WindowsInsiders we have started rolling out a new feature: Battery indicator. Don’t worry about your phone dying when you don’t have it nearby, #YourPhone lets you check the battery status straight from your PC! pic.twitter.com/VET8HfpRkf

Using ‘Your Phone’ requires you to install the app on your PC & smartphone and logging in with the same Microsoft account on both the devices. It is worth noting that your smartphone needs to be running Android 7.0 Nougat or above to run the app. Also, make sure that your Windows PC is running on Windows 10 April 2018 update (1803) or later. However, you will need the latest insider build of Windows 10 to get the battery indicator functional as of now.
