The Xbox One saw a big jump in sales for November. With price cuts and game bundles readily available for Black Friday shoppers, there hasn’t been a better time to purchase the console. In North America that’s just what consumers did, pushing the Xbox One ahead of the PS4 in sales for the first time in months.

Microsoft is apparently pretty confident that this momentum will continue, and have some yet to be revealed plans for keeping it going. While Xbox fans offered Xbox executives congratulations on their NPD win for November, a response by Aaron Greenberg says the company is “just getting started.”

So just how will Microsoft keep up this momentum? Well price is obviously going to play a key role in keeping consumers interested, though Microsoft has yet to announce how long these discounted bundles will stick around. If they can keep the console in line with the price point for Sony’s PS4, at least they’ll have a shot at it.

Microsoft also has plenty of games on the horizon for 2015 and beyond. These include the known quantities: Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, Scalebound, and others that are already slated for next year. Throw in other games like the highly-anticipated Gears of War title and there’s plenty to look forward to.

We’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see if Microsoft’s sales success continued in December. Sony dominated headlines over the last couple of weeks with their first annual PlayStation Experience holding numerous announcements for the future of PlayStation.
