Great news for fans of planes, thrills, and maybe Tom Cruise… Top Gun Maverick DLC is now available for free in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It was announced a while ago but is set to release at the same time as Top Gun Maverick. Now available in cinemas and on our consoles, let’s see what Top Gun Maverick DLC brings us.

Top Gun Maverick DLC is Out Now

Top Gun: Maverick, which hits cinemas on May 24th in the US, has received very positive reviews from fans and critics. If you want to join Tom Cruise’s new action, new content is completely free for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

That free additional content was announced last year, and after some delays, it is finally available in the game along with new challenges and training. Honestly, the best part about this DLC is that players can feel in the movie starring Tom Cruise.

New content to Microsoft Flight Simulator includes another cover for the F/A-18E Super Hornet, three training missions to master maneuvers with that ship, five high-speed challenges, a carrier deck landing challenge, and a new hypersonic aircraft that reaches speeds of Mach 10.

Details of the Top Gun Maverick DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator:

  • Three training missions with this same fighter
  • Five challenges at high speed and low altitude
  • Aircraft carrier landing challenges
  • An unprecedented hypersonic aircraft
  • The “Roar into the Stratosphere” mission

Having greatly appreciated the first film released in 1986 and impatient to contemplate its sequel, this DLC could not be better timed. Flight Simulator with photorealistic graphics is perfect for pretending to be Tom Cruise while flying over the planet.

The free update is a promotion of sorts, but there’s no Tom Cruise skin. Top Gun: Maverick expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
