Wonder Woman 1984 has been a long time coming. The movie sequel was originally due for release back in December last year, this was then pushed forward to November before things started to go wrong.

November became June (at one point an original release date too), which became August, until finally a release date of October 2, 2020, was settled on. COVID-19 can take a lot of the blame here, but needless to say, fans are hungry for the next Wonder Woman installment.

As we get closer to the release date, marketing will start to ramp up, with a new trailer having been released this month. Today, Microsoft has got in on the act by revealing some rather interesting Wonder Woman inspired Xbox One consoles.

Announced on Xbox Wire, three consoles have been revealed to celebrate the pending release of Wonder Woman 1984. Each one is fairly unique and could soon take that coveted spot underneath your television.

Take a look at them in all their beauty. Let’s go with beauty:

First up, we have the Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth Xbox One X console. I don’t need to explain what inspired this design choice, but I do need to point out just how fantastic the controller is. The competition to win this console is simple, fans just need to retweet or like the Xbox sweepstakes Tweet between August 25 and September 17.

The second Xbox on offer is the one of a kind Wonder Woman Golden Armour variant, complete with 24 carat Gold leaves. Winning this is a bit easier, as long as you’re rich. The console is being auctioned off with all the proceeds going to Together for Her, an institution that stands in solidarity with Women around the world.

A worthy cause, not that I can afford to win, and if you can’t either, it’s still worth looking at what they do.

Finally, have you ever been due at a Halloween party, haven’t had a costume, and have just thrown on whatever you can find? Then I present you with the Barbara Minerva console. Inspired by the look of Wonder Woman’s arch-nemesis.

The announcement doesn’t go on to say how to get your hands on the last console, but be honest, would you want it? I was going to ask how quickly this thing would overheat, but Microsoft covered that at the bottom of the announcement.

Each winner will receive a standard Xbox one, as these fancy machines are for display only, and not gameplay.
