Has Microsoft just admitted that their original Xbox One bundle was incomplete? Read on to find out.

So, where does this notion come from? Well, a new bundle has just appeared on the US Microsoft Store. It contains the Xbox One console (packaged with everything in the standard edition), a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription, 2 games and ‘Microsoft Complete for Xbox One’. When put together, this is aptly named the ‘Xbox One Complete Bundle’.

The 2 free games can be chosen from the following list:

  • Forza Motorsport 5
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Dead Rising 3
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts
  • Battlefield 4
  • Madden NFL 25
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Just Dance 2014

Oh, and the confusingly named ‘Microsoft Complete’ is essentially an extended warranty. It covers your Xbox One hardware against defects or malfunctions and provides unlimited technical support, for 3 years. The bundle is currently 5 cents short of $700, though it says it ‘was $749.95’, quoting a saving of $50.
