As the Xbox Series X looms ever closer towards us, a number of questions immediately come to mind – firstly, how much is it going to cost and can I afford it?

But then after you avoid that question and hope for the best, another more prominent one comes to mind – how will the games look? What will the graphical and audio power of the console contribute to the new generation of videogames?

Luckily for those of you pondering such a question, it may soon come close to being answered. In a recent Twitter post, Microsoft has officially announced a “First Look” at the gameplay on the Xbox Series X.

The First Look will premier on Inside Xbox on 7th May 2020 11 am Eastern Time and 8 am Pacific Time as shown in the announcement below:

It’s a good time for Microsoft to get the ball rolling on gameplay reveals since the console is slated for a general release window of “late 2020”. The year is going fast and time is getting short, so now is a good opportunity for you to get a look at the power of the machine before you decide which next-gen console to buy.

Many of the console’s features were thought to be revealed at the 2020 Game Developers’ Conference and E3 2020 – but as we all know, the Coronavirus had other plans and the events in question were canceled alongside the unveiling of the console’s hardware specs.

The company would later reveal the specs via Livestream.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, the company hopes to ship Xbox Series X by the end of the year, although they are monitoring supply chains and the safety of their workers all the while.

No plans for exclusive titles yet, as the primary focus will be given to titles for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Instead, the Xbox Series X console will have extra features not present in Xbox One playthroughs of the games.
