Minecon details have officially been announced, and the convention will take place this November to go side by side with the launch of the game’s “full release”. Notch Perrson, creator of the Minecraft, announced the convention this morning via PC Gamer. He claims that the upcoming convention is all about the celebreation of the game’s final release, as this November marks the official release of the game from its extended alpha and beta stages where it became wildly popular with gamer’s of all walks.
“We’ll just go back home and keep working on Minecraft directly after MineCon, but it does represent a huge milestone where the game finally leaves beta, something we’d never been able to do without our fans, so it feels natural to celebrate it with them.”
The convention will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Expect further details about how to get tickets to the event which will occur on November 18th and 19th, next week.
