Minecraft Dungeons is a pretty solid game in the Minecraft universe. It takes what is seen as a rough genre for kids to get into, and makes it more easily accessible while still being fun for Action RPG fans. Despite some issues and the length being short, it’s a lot of fun for the time it’s there. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Mojang is following that up with some DLC. Available starting today, the Jungle Awakens DLC is now available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, bringing along a whole host of new content and a free update. To go with the update and DLC, the team released a trailer showcasing what you can expect.
Jungle Awakens has players adventuring through the sprawling jungle to find the source of mysterious power. It’s known as the Jungle Abomination and proves to be a challenge for players of all levels. Slice your way through three completely new levels, centered around the Minecraft jungle and filled with new enemies. It wouldn’t be a Minecraft Dungeons DLC though without loot, and there’s lots of it here. Arm yourself with new weapons, armor, and artifacts in your quest to restore the once beautiful and luscious jungle.
If you don’t have Minecraft Dungeons‘ Hero Pass or Hero Edition, no need to worry. Along with today’s DLC release is the new Lost Temple update. This update brings along a new dungeon, looking to challenge all players. Those who dare brave its puzzles and secrets will score themselves some new loot to use in the main game. There’s a lot of exciting things for both regular and Hero Edition players, with much more to come.
