With Minecraft Earth releasing as an early access title earlier this year in the United States, it was only a matter of time before the title was released globally. Minecraft Earth was officially released today in many countries across the globe, allowing players all over the world to join in on the fun of creating a Minecraft World in augmented reality.

The official Minecraft Earth twitter account (@minecraftearth) tweeted earlier today, “We’ve saved up all our wool to roll out the red carpet. Over the next 24 hours, Minecraft Earth’s early access will become available in countries all across the world! Navigate over to your app store of choice to start crafting in real life.”

Minecraft Earth brings the sandbox experience of Minecraft that we all know and love and brings it into the real world. Not only does Minecraft Earth allow users to create their own blocky masterpieces, but it also allows players to share them with others and will enable users to collaborate on projects together.

Minecraft Earth will be available to play on devices with iOS 10+ or Android 8+. Similar to Pokemon GO, the game features an overworld map themed to look like Minecraft. The overworld is populated with resources to collect, such as trees and rocks. Allowing the app to have access to your camera will enable the building feature where players can use the resources they collect to build in augmented reality.

Along with creating unique structures, the game features unique mobs as well. The mobs we are familiar with will return to the game, but the official site boasts that new mobs will appear for players to collect as well.

This new mobile adventure allows you to collaborate with friends on builds of different sizes. Make smaller builds with friends, or life-size builds with your community. Minecraft Earth offers a variety of ways to play so that any crafter can feel right at home.
