Minecraft Earth will be entering early access in October, and will hopefully be launching worldwide before the end of the year. The announcement of the Early Access was made at MINECON Live. Minecraft Earth is Microsoft’s take on the guide of Augmented Reality game that has been popularized by the likes of Pokemon GO, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

The game has been in beta in five different cities around the world for the past couple of months, but the Early Access version of the game will introduce some new features that are not currently in the beta version.

One of the key features that will be introduced to the Early Access version is Adventures. These are small multiplayer worlds that you can enjoy with your friends and can be played through the AR technology that powers the game. The Minecraft world will be overlaid onto the world around you, and you’ll be able to find resources the same way you would in standard Minecraft.

If you wish to get involved with the Early Access version of the game, you can sign up for it here. At the moment, it is only available for Android devices. We will keep you updated about when signups are open for Apple devices.

Discover a new dimension of Minecraft as you create, explore, and survive in the real world. Join a community of builders and explorers spanning the planet, collect resources for your builds, craft in augmented reality and then place them at life-size. You can even team up with others for mini-adventures!
