What is Minecraft Preview?
Minecraft Preview is a new standalone app that allows players to test out the beta versions of the Bedrock edition without replacing the original game. Unlike previous beta versions, the preview app won’t overtake the already installed version of the game on your devices. It will work as a separate entity, allowing you to have both regular and beta versions of Minecraft installed at the same time.
Minecraft Preview is still in its testing phase, and only iOS users can access it in February 2022. But we expect the preview to reach other platforms in the upcoming weeks. Later on, the app is supposed to reach all the platforms that support the Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
We don’t have a release date yet, but Minecraft Preview is sure to be released later in 2022. Developers have also confirmed that it will be available for Xbox Game Pass users and in the Minecraft launcher alongside the full release.
As of February 2022, the developers have announced that Minecraft Preview will be supported on iOS, iPad OS, and Windows 10 & 11 platforms to start with.
