What Does Smite Do in Minecraft?
Smite is an enchantment that deals increased damage to undead enemies. Undead monsters include zombies, skeletons, phantoms, zoglins, drowned zombies and other related mobs. It does not affect enemies such as spiders, endermen, elder guardians, silverfish or regular, passive animals.
You can add the smite enchantment to any sword or axe, and its level ranges from one to five. For every level added to the enchantment, more damage is added to your weapon. For example, Smite I adds 2.5 or 1.25 hearts of damage to your sword or axe, while Smite V adds 12.5 or 6.25 hearts.
