MLB The Show 21 has today launched game update 20 on all platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with today’s patch. As we’re quite late in the patch cycle here, today’s patch for MLB The Show 21 is quite small, but that doesn’t make it any worse of a patch. A couple of these fixes are also exclusive to Xbox, so PlayStation players can expect a single change on their platforms. With that being said, that fix is a major fix that has tangible gameplay changes. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with MLB The Show 21 in-game update 20!

MLB The Show 21 Game Update 20 Patch Notes

Gameplay

  • XBOX: Fixed a rare occurrence where input was lost when using Pinpoint Pitching interface.

  • XBOX: Fixed a bug that would prevent users from pitching a perfect Splitter or Forkball regardless of player input.

That’s about all we’ve got today. Like said, the initial change to PCI is a major one, as any sort of competitive nature does need to adapt to how unforgiving it will be compared to previous updates. It’s likely for the better though, seeing as it’s being changed based on feedback. Otherwise, Xbox players can also expect two bug fixes revolving around player input. It’s unclear at the moment if this will be coming to PlayStation (or if the bug is present on PlayStation at all), but one platform getting it at least is a good thing.

MLB The Show 21 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S. For more information regarding today’s update, check out the official website.
