In today’s world, getting a foothold as a developer is nearly impossible. Developers of Disorder, NetEase, are looking to do that with their own battle royale shooter. There is certainly a fair amount of competition, making it possible for only the most dedicated to get. While the game hasn’t been out long, the developers have not hesitated to add content continuously.

Disorder Character Story

Many battle royale games have a story, but it doesn’t extend beyond maybe a paragraph. With Disorder, they took a page from Respawn’s book and gave individual characters a background. The character trailer Prometheus introduces us to a character named Ralph. The Cadaver Unit decides to pick him up, despite him barely clinging to life. In the future, they may elaborate on his connection with another character, also seen in the trailer.

New Modes

When a battle royale shooter has limited game modes, it tends to lower its ‘attractiveness.’ Disorder will be adding the ‘Isle of Death’ mode, where five teams of six players each compete to maintain control of the escape point. It is easier than it sounds, as the island itself is sinking while the match is going on. Fail to enter the radiation zone, and you’ll fall before the match is over.

There will also be Single Base Battle and Multi-Base modes. Single-Base mode has people go for one objective, while the other requires players to capture multiple targets during a single run. Make sure to put each character’s abilities to proper use.

For some games, unlocking multiple skins requires substantial gameplay. NetEase is giving its player base a few skins in Disorder to commemorate the launch. Each skin has abilities unique to that character, which will aid in battle.
