“Girls who must kill to live”

Nexon Korea Corporation has announced the dark fantasy RPG SINoALICE will be headed to western regions for iOS and Android devices this June.

SINoALICE initially released in Japan (along with China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) back in 2017, but it wasn’t until late in 2018 that any plans for a western release were confirmed. And considering that the game is both directed and features the artwork of Yoko Taro (NieR: Automata, Drakengard), and also has a soundtrack by Keiichi Okabe (NieR), there were a quite a few people looking forward to its release due to that alone.

In terms of gameplay, the game is a standard RPG that takes inspiration from various fairy tales to craft both its characters and world (think Mary Skelter). Parties are composed of five characters and, as one might expect from mobile RPGs at this point, they must utilize whatever tools they have at their disposal to take out enemies who come at them in waves. As an added twist, they’ll also need to solve “mind-bending” puzzles.

Their goal? To save the creators of the fairy tales from which they hail.

If you’re interested, then be sure to head to SINoALICE’s homepage where a pre-registration event is currently being held. Users have from now until the game launches to sign up.

Here are the rewards:

  • 4,444 users: 100 Magic Crystals
  • 44,444 users: Sorcerer (Limited Edition Job), Sealed Dragon Puppet (Weapon)
  • 444,444 users: 200 Magic Crystals
  • 500,000 users: Fina, the Loyal Falsehood (SS-rare character), 5 Upgrade weapons
