- Turn off your PS4 by pressing and holding the power button on the console.
- Once the console is off, press and hold the power button again. Release it after you hear the second beep — one beep will sound when you first press, and another seven seconds later. The second beep means the console has entered Safe Mode.
- Using a USB cable, plug the DualShock 4 controller to the PS4 and press the PlayStation button on the controller.
- Then pick the “5: Rebuild Database” option.
- Follow any instructions and wait for it to finish.

According to the official PlayStation Support page, the CE-108255-1 error message means there is an error in the application. Unfortunately, that means you will need to reinstall the whole game to fix the issue since it is considered to be an installation error. Here’s how you can do it:
Delete the game by opening Settings > Storage, and reinstall the game.
Then start your PS5 in Safe Mode and choose the “5. Rebuild Database” option.
To start your PS5 in Safe Mode:
Turn off your console by holding the power button for three seconds. The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.
Once the console is off, press and hold the power button again. Release it after you hear the second beep — one beep will sound when you first press and another seven seconds later.
Connect the controller with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
If the error persists, reset your PS5 from Settings > System > System Software > Reset PS5, and try installing the application again
You might want to make a backup of your data in advance.
