Though Activision has yet to officially confirm it, leaked information indicates that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will soon get a Battle Royale mode, similar to what Black Ops 4 had last year. Now, a new bit of video footage may have just revealed how big the map is when it comes to size.
The video comes from a Reddit user by the name of u/Nateberg3, who came across it by discovering a bug during a Spec Ops mission. In it, his player appears to be lingering over a yet unrevealed map, one very large in scale. You can see it for yourself below.
According to the notes, the map appears to be built from locations featured in the Spec Ops and Ground War modes. These include the newly Port of Verdansk, as well as a stadium of some kind and a Gulag.
This comes a couple of weeks after a data miner provided new details on the mode, including a list of locations that this map video seemingly confirms. On top of that, those details also indicate this could be one of the biggest Battle Royale modes to date, supporting up to 200 players at once. It also notes that, for players to respawn, they have to win a 1v1 battle in the Gulag, also featured in the video.
Neither Infinity Ward nor Activision have said a word about either the mode or the map, so take it all with a grain of salt. However, it could all be building up to a big reveal, possibly as soon as this month. The team has been riding high on its recent debut of Season One content, so adding this to it could continue to keep it alive going into 2020.
