The Halloween season is quickly approaching, and Hulu is planning a special to celebrate. The variety special, Hulu’s Huluween Dragstravaganza, will be hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race albums Monet X Change and Ginger Minj. The show will stream on Hulu starting October 1.
Regarding the plot of the variety special, Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed that it centers around Monet X Change and Ginger Minj getting trapped inside a TV. This is a call back to the classic horror film Poltergeist. The two must put on a Halloween event to escape the television set. Besides being hosted by the two famed contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the show will feature such iconic drag queens as The Lady Bunny, Manila Luzon, Mo Heart, and Landon Cider. Jackie Beat, who helped write the special, will also appear.
We’re sure Hulu’s Huluween Dragstravaganza will be a ton of fun with these iconic queens.
What Else Should Fans Expect From Hulu’s Halloween Variety Special
Fans can expect Hulu’s Huluween Dragstravaganza to be filled with lots of laughs, legendary costumes, and music. Throughout the show, the cast will perform five original musical numbers. Hollywood Records will later release the music as an EP. Besides this, the cast will engage in sketch comedy skits, which is perfect for this group of drag queens. A big-name musical artist will make an appearance, in addition to surprise cameos throughout the show. Here’s to hoping one of those special appearances is from RuPaul himself. As for that big-name artist who will appear, our guess is Lizzo.
