Money Heist has been renewed for its fifth and final season on Netflix.

Created by Alex Pina and produced by Vancouver Media, season four of the popular Spanish series – otherwise known as La Casa De Papel-which consisted of eight episodes launched this April.

The streaming giant has now announced that the crime drama, known has been renewed for season five, where the heist will finally come to an end over 10 episodes.

Netflix posted a picture of Salvador Dalí mask, broken, and lying on the ground across all official social media channels with the caption reading, “Do you have your mask ready? You’re going to need it one last time #MoneyHeist Season 5, confirmed.”

Money Heist which traces two long-prepared heists led by a  mysterious man known as “The Professor” – played by Álvaro Morte-who recruits a group of eight people to enter and loot the Royal Mint of Spain, and the Bank of Spain, was initially intended as a limited series to be told in two parts, but quickly became explosively popular.

Praised for its comedic elements, addictive storyline,  innovative subversion of heist TV/movie tropes and feminist themes captured the hearts of millions across the world.

Joining a star-studded cast consisting of Úrsula Coberó (Tokyo), Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Itziar Ituño (Lisbon),Najwa Nimri (Inspector Sierra) among many other, is Miguel Ángel Silvestre of Sense 8 fame and Patrick Criado from La Gran Familia Española.

About the final season executive producer and showrunner Pina said, “We have spent almost a year thinking about how to destroy the band. How to put the Professor on the ropes? How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters? The result is the fifth season of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”
