Monster Hunter Rise: How to Get Pale Bone

If you’re interested in finding Pale Bone, you’ll have to look to the monster, Khezu. Initially, you swill come across Khezu in the Frost Islands. You can find Khezu in some expeditions, but there are actually Low-Rank quests that will lead you directly with Khezu with the objective of taking the monster down. If you’re looking for these quests, they are:

  • A Pale Shadow
  • 2 Star Hub Quest
  • Faceless Foe
  • 3 Star Village Quest
  • BZZZZZ or ZZZZzzzz
  • 5 Star Village Quest

It’d be best for you to initiate at least one of these quests before you head to the Frost Islands.

  • 2 Star Hub Quest

  • 3 Star Village Quest

  • 5 Star Village Quest

Once you find Khezu, your main focus should be breaking its head. This is the best way there is to earn Pale Bone in Monster Hunter Rise. Pale Bone has a 12% chance to drop when a head break happens on Khezu on a Low Rank quest. In order to break certain parts of a monster, you can attack them repeatedly with Sever, blunt, or projectile weapons, which are all capable of breaking Khezu’s skull as well.

Before you head into the quest, it would be wise to plan on capturing Khezu rather than killing it at the end of your hunt. To do this, you should attack the monster until it begins to flop around, limp and weak. Then, you should use a shock or pitfall trap, and finally hit it with a tranq bomb. This is because when you capture Khezu in Low Rank, there is a 10% chance to drop another Pale Bone as well.

In addition to these methods, there is also an 8% chance to get a Pale Bone by completing one of the quests mentioned above in Low Rank.
