After six months of waiting, at long last. The Monster Hunter Spotlight TGS 2021 stream has confirmed that the PC port of Monster Hunter Rise is going to be released on January 12, 2022, on Steam. Priced at $59.99, preorders are already up since the show ended.

As one might expect, the Steam release comes with a plethora of improvements. It supports 60 FPS, 4K resolution, high-resolution textures, advanced graphics settings, voice chat, optimized keyboard and mouse control, and of course, ultrawide screen support. That’s not all though. If you’re worried about playing content catchup like in Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne, don’t fret. Capcom has promised that the PC launch will include all previously released updates until November 2021. Pretty cool, right? Read on below for the hardware specification and the PC trailer. Just like the Switch launch, the Monster Hunter Rise PC port will also get a free demo that will be available on October 13, 2021. Again, the demo will feature all 14 weapons and be separated into five types of quests:

  • Beginner Quest: lets you face Great Izuchi and its bloodthirsty pack.
  • Intermediate Quest: lets you take on one of The Fated Four, Mizutsune.
  • Advanced Quest: lets you meet face to face against Magnamolo.
  • Basic Training Quest: to learn how the Wirebug system works.
  • Wyvern Riding Training Quest: to learn more about the new mounting system.
