Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Demo and New Details

Capcom released brand new details for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak DLC during the Camcom 20222 Showcase, including the reveal of a free PC and Nintendo Switch demo, releasing tomorrow, June 14, 2022! The demo will allow players to sample some early battles and get the hang of the DLC’s multiplayer and new mechanics.

Capcom also confirmed several free title updates for the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak DLC expansion. The first will be arriving this August and include a brand new monster, the Lucent Nargacuga, a rare, particular species found only in the new Forlorn Arean locale that will also come with the update. The second update will come in Fall 2022 and bring new rate monster species and subspecies, as well as powered-up versions of existing monsters. The third Winter 2022 expansion and additional expansions going into 2023 will include even more new monsters and elements, and those who pre-order the DLC will receive additional special bonuses.

Some returning monsters include the Daimyo Hermitaur first seen in Monster Hunter 2, the Espinas from Monster Hunter Frontier, and Gore Magala from Monster Hunter 4, who served as that game’s flagship monster. THe Rakna-Kadaki from the base game of Monster Hunter Rise will also gain a new form: the Pyre Rakna-Kadaki!

The DLC will include the returning jungle region and monsters such as the Great Izuchi, Malzeno, and Astalos. New silkbind attacks and the new skill switch swap will be available, as well as training quests for new players.

The Monster Hunter Rise Sundreak demo supports multiplayer for up to four players.
