Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 1 will officially be available on August 10, 2022, and will be the first of three updates released throughout 2022 for the DLC. It will first include the introduction of four new monsters for players to encounter: Seething Bazelguese, Silver Rathalos, Gold Rathian, and Lucent Nargacuga.
The Seething Bazelguese variant has a body that smolders with explosive scales and scorches the very earth they walk upon. The Lucent Narcacuga is clad in fur that glows like the moon, and it lives in deep fog and hides in the glint of the moonlight to strike prey.
The Silver Rathalos is a rare variant of the iconic Rathalos beast with shimmering silver scales, best known for their fiery great and fierce claws. Finally, the Golden Rathian has strong, shimmering gold scales and possesses exceptional combat ability.
In addition to these new monsters, a new locale known as the Forlorn Arena will be available, and it will be the main domain of the Lucent Nargacuga, a secluded locale drenched in moonlight. Some new modes and events were announced as well, such as the new Anomaly Quests and Anomaly Investigations mode.
Anomaly Quests require slaying a specific monster afflicted with the rare Quiro trait, which makes them particularly fierce and violent. Anomaly Investigations are played with specific conditions, including monster type, locale, and player number, to earn points for the Anomaly Research Lab, created by Bahari, that can be redeemed for special rewards and materials.
The final bit of news reveals that special Event Quests will be coming to the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak DLC regularly, starting on August 18, 2022. Special paid DLC packs featuring new armor, including one based entirely on the Knight of the Royal Order, Fiorayne, will also be available for purchase starting on August 10.
