After a six-month long wait, Monster Hunter Rise is finally out for Nintendo Switch, priced at $59.99. This time, we venture into the Kamura Village, protecting it from a rapidly approaching calamity called the Rampage. Accompanied by hunting buddies Palico and Palamute, as well as all Kamura’s inhabitants, you have to find out the mystery behind the Rampage and stop it once and for all. For those who doesn’t have a Switch though, don’t worry, Capcom has officially announced that the PC version will be released in early 2022.

Monster Hunter Rise does not just invite us to explore a new world, but it also adds completely new features such as Wirebug grappling mechanic, unique Silkbind Attacks and Switch Skills for customizable combos, as well as Wyvern Riding that allows you to temporarily take control of a monster during a hunt. As is the case with Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne, Monster Hunter Rise will include continuous free post-launch support. The first free title update, coming in late April, will add:

  • High Rank cap unlocks.
  • A conclusion to the Village Quests story.
  • Returning fan-favorite Elder Dragon, Chameleos.
  • Apex Rathalos, a more powerful version of the normal Rathalos only seen in Rampage quests.
  • And even more new monsters, which will be revealed in the coming months.
