We knew Monster Hunter World was going to be a success when it released in January 2018, but nobody expected it to be quite as big as it ended up. The game sold incredibly well and had great reactions from fans, so they have been very much awaiting the previously announced expansion. During today’s PlayStation State of Play stream, it was revealed just when we can expect Monster Hunter World: Iceborne to release.

Previously, we had gotten a teaser trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and now we have received a brand new trailer for it during the PlayStation State of Play event. The action in this trailer looks fantastic, just like we would expect from Monster Hunter World. The ending is the most exciting part for fans though, as we finally have a release date for the expansion.

It was revealed prior that the expansion would be coming sometime in Autumn 2019, so we knew it was still a little ways away. However, we are technically getting it a little earlier than expected with the newly announced release date of September 6th. This falls in late Summer, though it definitely is the start of what is typically considering the Fall gaming season where the biggest of the big release.

Look for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne to release on September 6th.
