Monster Madness is a new take on the Dungeon Mayhem game by Wizards of The Coast. In the first version, players took on the roles of either a Barbarian, Paladin, Rogue, or Wizard. The Battle for Baldur’s Gate, the second iteration, introduced Ranger Minsc along with a space hamster and shapeshifter druid Jaheira. While those are certainly cool character classes to choose from, a lot of people really wish they could play as monsters. Monster Madness can fill that void reasonably well.

The third iteration, known as Monster Madness, gives players some new and interesting choices. Instead of your traditional Dungeons and Dragons classes, you can choose to play as one of six hilariously illustrated monsters. Hailing from the DnD multiverse, here are a few characters from the new expansion:

The Cast

Lord Cinderpuff

Red Dragon

A 375-year-old dragon, the dapper Lord Cinderpuff, is about 40 feet tall. Like any self-respecting dragon, he’s all about the gold and treasure. And when you’re obsessed with obscene wealth, shouldn’t you dress the part? Looking dapper in his business coat and gold-topped walking stick, he is a massive lizard that means business. The philosophy of this Monster Madness character?

Hoots Mcgoots

Owlbear

Another addition from the cast of Monster Madness is Hoots Mcgoots, the 25-year-old Owlbear. Their favorite item, like any normal performing circus animal, is the unicycle. In addition to their party hat, the bear also has a collection of… broken bones, some of their most important personal belongings. They love adventurers, but they’d also love it more if their bones weren’t so easily broken…

Not only is the artwork cool, but the new characters will change everyone’s play style.
