Mog, your friendly Moogle in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is a loyal companion and will follow you into dungeons to help you carry the chalice. Be careful though, as Mog can get tired and will ask you to take over sometimes.
When you visit a Moogle Nest, the secret homes of Moogles that are spread throughout the game, you will have the option to groom your Moogle. You can dye their hair, and even trim it for them. While it sounds like a cute thing to do, there are also some important gameplay mechanics attached to it, so you really should take care of your Moogle.
Moogle Hair
If you are going to explore a cold area then you want your Moogle to have long hair to help them stay warm. This will help to increase the length of time they can carry the chalice. If you are going to explore warm errors, then you should give them a haircut or the same thing will happen.
Hot areas of the game include Lynari Desert, and Mount Kildana. Cold areas include Tida, Selepation Cave, Veo Lu Slice, Reben Te Ra, Mount Vellenge, and Conall Curach.
The downside is that cutting Moogle hair takes a while, but you don’t need to do it very often with so few hot areas in the game.
Moogle Color
Moogle Color is also important, as it will impact which type of magic your Moogle friend will cast during battle.

Unfortunately, you will need to reapply the Moogle color quite often, which means having a nearby Moogle Nest and taking the time to do it. If you are playing a single-player game, it may benefit you to keep it on random, as this way you will be able to hit some synergies no matter what magic spells drop for you during a dungeon.
