Many people noticed there are only a few characters  that are available as toys in Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. This is because Hasbro wants to avoid spoilers for now.

Fast Co Design interviewed Steve Evans who is the Star Wars design director at Hasbro. Evans talked more about the current toy line and also on what’s to come.

Evans explained there’s a reason why only a select number of characters are available at toys right now. This is because they want to “keep the surprises for the fans controlled“. He said only a certain amount of toys will be available as we lead up to Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens’ release on December 18th.

However, Evans admitted that there are still “certain surprises from our product line that no one knows about“. These toys will be out closer to the release of the movie and even after it has come out too.

There are several characters that have yet to have their own toys. This includes the older versions of Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. We have also yet to see what Snoke (Andy Serkis) looks like too.

Don’t worry if your favorite character has yet to get a toy from Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. Hasbro is saving the more spoiler territory characters after the film comes out.
